In 2000, Blinkbonnie was listed to the National Register of Historic Places and recognized as an intact representation of a Greek Revival residence in Rensselaer County. The house is significant in the area of education as well, as it was the home of state historian, Albert B. Corey.

This award recognizes the home, however, it does not limit the owner from making any changes to the home that he/she would like to make.
